About

At the age of twenty, I moved to Denmark to study Design and Technology. But as it goes with the education vs. work dynamics, the biggest education in skill and taste comes from practicing. First, at e-Types, a leading brand agency in Copenhagen where I got to contribute to projects on a global scale. Then from leading digital design at Organic Basics, a sustainable apparel company in Copenhagen, where I was able to shape the digital experience. Along the way, I also partnered with other high-profile agencies across Europe, shaping visual identities and websites for millions of customers.

Now

Today I’m the design lead at Commerce-UI, a full-service Shopify agency. We work with clients such as Lady Gaga, Carhartt WIP, Pangaia, and Rolex to name a few. I lead a small but mighty team of designers where we focus on high-end bespoke eCommerce.

Approach

I discovered early on how typography shapes everything we do. It started as curiosity and grew into a constant thread in my practice. Today almost every logo I design is bespoke, and many of my projects include custom type as part of the identity. You can find it in the craft section of my case studies.

Talks

I also share my perspective through talks on design. Each one starts with the same foundation: craft, narrative, longevity; but I always find a way to adapt my current thoughts to the theme. For me, speaking is a platform to reveal what usually stays in my journals.

Off-season

When I’m not working, I write and draw in those journals or practice photography. Sometimes those fragments find their way back into projects. The craft is always in the approach: technical precision balanced with a belief that beauty is function in its own right.
